What are MOSFETs?
A metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) is a transistor that determines the voltage and conductivity of a device. Mosfets are four terminal components with a source (S), gate(G), drain (D) and body (B) terminals. The body of the Mosfet is in connection with the source terminal therefore creating a three-terminal device, called the field-effect transistor. They are often used for switching or amplifying signals. MOSFETs are very common in digital and analog circuits.
